Ingredients:

Green Gram/Sabat Moong (ثابت مونگ): 375 Grams (1.5 Pao)

Red Split Lintel/Malka Masoor (ملکہ مسور): 125 Grams (1/2 Pao)

Onion/Pyaz (پیاز): 2X (Small Size, Fine Cut)

Garlic Bulb/Lahsan (لہسن کی گڈی): 1X (Peel each clove)

Ginger/Adrak (ادرک): 1 Table Spoon (Roughly Crushed)

Tomato/Tamatar (ٹماٹر): 1X (Fine Cut)

Turmeric/Haldi (ہلدی): 1/2 Tea Spoon

Salt/Namak (نمک): 1 Table Spoon

Coriander/Dhanya Powder (دھنیا پائوڈر): 1 Table Spoon

Red Chili/Surkh Mirch Powder (لال مرچ پائوڈر): 1 Table Spoon

Organic Vanaspati/Desi Ghee (دیسی گھی): 1 Table Spoon (Full)

Homemade Butter/Makhan (گھر کا بنا مکھن): 1/2 Cup

Garlic Bulb/Lahsan (لہسن کی گڈی): 1X (Fne Cut)

Green Chili/Hari Mirch (ہری مرچ): 2X (Fine Cut)

 

Procedure:

1. Lintels are washed & soaked for 3~4 hours

دالوں کو دھو کر 3 سے 4 گھنٹوں کے لیے بھگو دیا ہے

2. Transfer the lintels in cooking pot

دالوں کو ہانڈی میں منتقل کریں

3. Add water a little also

تھوڑا سا پانی بھی شامل کر لیں

4. Place the cooking pot in stove & let it boil first

چولہے پر دال کو چڑھائیں اور اسے پہلے ابال آنے دیں

5. When starts boiling, remove foam from the surface

جب ابال آنے لگے تو اوپر آئی جھاگ کو اتار لیں

6. Add in all these spices etc. (Onion to desi ghee) at once

ان سب چیزوں کو ڈال دیں

7. Mix all the ingredients

چمچ سے ان سب کو مکس کر لیا

8. Cover it & let it cook on low to medium flame

ڈھکن لگا کر ہلکی آنچ پر پکنے دیں

9. Stir time to time & check also the condition

وقتاً فوقتاً تھوڑا بہت چمچ چلاتے رہیں

10. In parallel pour butter in fry pan & let it melt for TARKA

تڑکہ بنانے کے لیے ساتھ ہی مکھن فراائی پین میں ڈال لیا اور ہلکی آنچ پر پگھلنے دیں

11. Add in garlic & cook till turn to light brown

لہسن کو ہلکا گولڈن ہونے تک بھونیں

12. Cook green chili a little

ہری مرچوں کو بھی تھوڑا سا پکا لیں

13. Pour tarka in main curry & cover for a while

تڑکہ کو ہانڈی میں ڈال کر تھوڑی دیر کے لیے ڈھکن لگا دیں

14. To serve pour it in a bowl

پیش کرنے کے لیے ڈونگے میں ڈال لیں

15. Pour some leftover green chili from tarka

تڑکے میں سے بچائی ہوئی مرچوں کو اوپر ڈال دیا

16. Further garnish with onion rings

مزید پیاز کے رنگ سے اس کو سجا لیں
