It is an interesting main course meal dish which not only gives enhanced taste but also very useful for our health. Its main ingredient is Lady Finger ( (بھنڈیwhich is enriched with Vitamins A, C, & K1, fiber, folate, magnesium and many more. Due to these natural nutrients it is believed that it is very useful for heart, skin and eye health. It is also useful in controlling the sugar level in blood, preventing in cancers, and also for pregnant women.
Let us have a look of its making/preparation or cooking in MHK’s own style. We are going to cook it in simple, easy and quick way to add and interesting main course meal dish:
Ingredients for Making of Bhindi Ke Bhujya:
Lady Finger (بھنڈی): 1 Kg (Washed thoroughly and cut in small pieces)
Onion (پیاز): 3 (Medium size roughly chopped)
Tomato (ٹماٹر): 3 (Medium size roughly chopped)
Green Chili (ہری مرچ): 3~4 (roughly chopped)
Garlic (لہسن): 2 Table Spoon (fine cut)
Cooking Oil (تیل): 1/2 Cup
Fresh Milk Cream (بالائی): 1 Cup (well beated)
Red Chili Crushed (سرخ مرچ): 2 Tea Spoon
Turmeric (ہلدی): 1 Tea Spoon
Salt (نمک): 1.5 Table Spoon
Cumin (زیرہ): 1 Tea Spoon
Procedure for Making of Bhindi Ke Bhujya:
Step-1: Pour oil in a pan on stove and fry onion in it at high flame
Step-2: When colour of onion is changed, turn the flame towards low and pour cumin and further fry for two minutes.
Step-3: Now pour Lady Finger in it and turn the flame to high and cook for 5~8 minutes.
Step-4: Now add remaining spices and stir for 2~3 minutes
Step-5: Then add tomatoes and chilies and keep on frying till both the items become soft.
Step-6: At last steam cook for 3~4 minutes and the dish is ready to serve.
Tips for Making of Bhindi Ke Bhujya:
1. After washing the lady finger let it dry then cut otherwise it may become glutinous
2. Check each lady finger for worm in the vegetable according to the season.
3. Don’t fry the vegetable too much otherwise it may become glutinous
