This is not just a by name desi rather really an original and genuine desi first ever chicken biryani on YouTube cooked on woods flame with desi ingredients presented by #MHK. Try it to enjoy its original taste.
Ingredients:
Chicken (چکن): 3~3.5 Kg (2X, 1/8 Pieces)
Yogurt/Dehi (دہی): 1 Cup
Biryani Masala (بریانی مصالحہ): 4 Table Spoons
Turmeric/Haldi Powder (ہلدی پائوڈر): 1/2 Table Spoon
Salt/Namak (نمک): 1.5 Table Spoon
Whole Mixed Spices/Sabat Garam Masala (ثابت گرم مصالحہ): 1 Table Spoon
Red Chili/Surkh Mirch Powder (سرخ مرچ پائوڈر): 1/2 Table Spoon
Chilli Flakes/Darra Mirch (دڑا مرچ): 2 Table Spoons
Onion/Pyaz (پیاز): 5~6X (Slice Cut)
Vanaspati/Ghee (گھی): 1.5 Cup (300 Grams)
Ginger+Garlic/Lahsan+Adrak Paste (لہسن اور ادرک کا پیسٹ): 3 Table Spoons
Tomato/Tamatar (ٹماٹر): 5~6 (Slice Cut)
Fresh Coriander/Hara Dhanya (ہرا دھنیا): Hand Full
Fresh Mint/Hara Podina (ہرا پودینا): Hand Full
Green Chili/Hari Mirch (ہری مرچ): 5~6 (Long Cut)
Rice/Chawal (چاول): 2.5 Kg
Salt/Namak (نمک): 3 Table Spoons
White Vinegar/Safaid Sirka (سفید سرکہ): 3~4 Table Spoons
Procedure:
1. Washed the chicken well with vinegar & salt and get it strained
2. Pour yogurt on chicken
3. Add spices (Biryani spice to Chilli flakes) with it
4. Marinate the chicken in it
5. Leave to rest for a while
6. Fry onion till turns to brown in parallel
7. Take out a partial amount for later use
8. Add in ginger and garlic paste & mix a little
9. Give a splash of water
10. Add in tomatoes, mix a little & cover it for a while
11. Add in marinated chicken & cook well
12. Cover it for some time
13. Add in green vegetables (Coriander, Mint & Chili) & cover it set aside
14. Add in soaked rice in boiled water & mix gently
15. Add in salt and mix also
16. Cook rice for 70% to 80%
17. Pour white vinegar and mix also
18. When partially cooked as required get it strained
19. Make layers of rice, chicken curry, fried onion, lemon juice & yellow food colour till end
20. Steam cook for 15~20 minutes and then serve accordingly
Tips:-
1. Rice will become brighten with vinegar2. Each rice will remain apart
